Toxins: Read Your Labels

You will NEVER find any of these chemicals in our products.

Our body is the largest organ of elimination, it is vital that the skin be free to release toxins. Is it any wonder that every day more cancers and unusual diseases are being found in infants, children and adults?

Parabens, (Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben)

These preservatives have the ability to mimic estrogen in the body. It is estimated that 99% of body care products contain some form of paraben preservatives. Researchers have found parabens in cancer tumors.

Sodium lauryl sulfate, Sodium cetyl sulfate, Sodium laureth sulfate

These are surfactants, used to produce lots of bubbles.
These can cause all types of allergic reactions from skin rashes, dry flaky skin or scalp to hair loss. They often appear under the banner of “natural” products. The way these sulfates are designed to work the molecules stay on skin long after you think you’ve rinsed them off. They strip away essential fatty acids, moisture and amino acids from your skin. They increase dryness and roughness. The result can be skin thats dull, dry, chapped or even peels.

Many products on our shelves today such as shampoos, conditioners, bubble bath and body washes contain 50% or more of these sulfates. It is important to know that these sulfates are also found in some toothpaste, shaving cream, laundry detergent, dish soap and many industrial cleaning products.

Mineral Oil

Mineral oil is a petroleum derivative and found in most commercial products. It is the main ingredient in so called “baby oil”. There is nothing natural in petroleum. It actually coats the skin like plastic wrap, disrupting the skins natural immune barrier and inhibiting its ability to breathe and absorb moisture and nutrition. Mineral oil impedes this process, allowing toxins to accumulate. It slows down skin function and normal cell development, resulting in premature aging skin.
